摘要：国际统计学会（ISI）第58届世界统计大会于2011年8月21日—26日在爱尔兰首都都柏林召开。应大会组委会的邀请，统计学院院长赵彦云教授、环境学院马中教授和人民大学苏州国际学院兼职教授意大利佛罗伦萨大学法拉里教授（Guido Ferrari）联合组织两个平行会议，中国人民大学提交6篇论文并在会议上演讲，提升了中国人民大学统计学科的国际影响力，对促进国际交流与合作产生了积极的影响。
